GTI Neutral Gray N5 Paint - 1 Gallon.

Spectrally flat (neutral) N5 paint combined with high quality bias lighting is the industry preferred solution for creating a neutral grey surround behind reference displays. A neutral grey surround helps to eliminate simultaneous color contrast, a phenomenon that can change the perception of colors on your reference display when viewed against chromatic backgrounds. The achromatic background produced by this paint helps to ensure accurate perception of colors on your reference displays.

GTI's neutral gray paint is superior to many other paints because it is not a simple black and white mix, but rather an equal mix of all spectrum colors. This helps to ensure that reference bias lighting is reflected back neutrally with none of the significant color color contamination that can be caused by less neutral grey paint options.

N5 is the most commonly used shade of grey in the post production industry as it is approximately equivalent to middle grey (18% reflectance).

This paint, combined with high quality bias lighting, helps to create an industry standard (ST2080-3, ITU-BT.2100) reference viewing environment suitable for both HDR and SDR video monitoring.
